When Tyler Ruhl first came to Velocity RX, he was throwing approximately 84 mph.

His arm was sore.

His velocity was declining.

And his college opportunities were becoming increasingly limited.

Instead of immediately changing mechanics or prescribing random drills, we applied the Velocity RX process.

We evaluated the athlete first.

Movement.

Mechanics.

Injury Risk.

Performance Limitations.

Then we built a development plan specifically for Tyler.

Six months later, Tyler was throwing 92 mph.

His arm pain was gone.

He was competing as both a pitcher and catcher.

More importantly, he understood how his body created velocity and how to make corrections when something wasn't working.

The results continued.

Tyler opened the 2025 season with 41 consecutive scoreless innings.

That performance helped earn him a Division I baseball scholarship.

Tyler is from Virginia and his statistics can be independently verified.

A Program Built on Medical Expertise — Not Baseball Guesswork

Velocity RX was built by Dr. Kevin J. McGovern, PT, a Doctor of Physical Therapy with more than 30 years of baseball-specific experience.

Over those decades, Dr. Kevin has worked with athletes from youth baseball to the professional level, identifying the movement dysfunctions and mechanical breakdowns that ordinary pitching programs routinely miss.

That is why Velocity RX is not just about throwing harder.

It is about building a healthier, stronger, more correctable pitcher.
